Hello God!

Thank You for my tiny cup of coffee I am enjoying now. Something magical is in the air. Black as the devil, hot as hell, pure as an angel, sweet as love – Prime Minister of France Charles Maurice De Talleyrand said about coffee. We are indebted to great French travellers for much valuable knowledge about this divine beverage. Yes, the French know everything about pleasures of life.

“…The plant with the jessamine-like flowers is the most exquisite perfume of Araby the blest given to the human race by the gift of the Gods” I am reading in “All about Coffee” by William Harrison Ukers.

Today’s night, you know the period from 7 to 19, January is “Sviatki”, when a fortune telling is eligible and true, I dedicate to tasseography. Wonderful paintings of Harry Roseland create miraculous atmosphere for the fortune reading. Soft light and clear kind and tender faces of participants of this magic ritual promise a happy vision.

Hello God!

Thank You for November. I celebrate today, November’s first day! As for me it is strange that usually the month is connected with melancholy and depression. Today I have met a wonderful personage to broke the stereotype. Meet, Mrs. Novembra (in original “Mrs. Giffilan” by James Reeves).

When Mrs. Novembra
Is troubled with troubles,
She flies to the kitchen
And sits blowing bubbles.

Novembra

When Mrs. Novembra
Is worried by money,
When her feet are like lead
And her head’s feeling funny,
When there’s too much to do,
And the chimney is smoking,
And everything’s awkward
And wrong and provoking,
When the washing won’t dry
For the rain’s never ending,
When cupboards need cleaning
And stockings want mending,
When the neighbours complain
Of the noise of the cat,
And she ought to be looking
For this and for that,
And never a line comes
From her married daughter –
Then off to the kitchen
With soap and warm water
Goes Mrs. Novembra
And all of her troubles;
And she puffs them away
In a great cloud of bubbles.

In joyful abandon
She puffs them and blows them,
And all round about her
In rapture she throws them;
When round, clear and shiny
They hang in the air,
Away like a shadow
Cotes worry and care.

Philosophers Talk

Hello God!

Thank You for ability to restore our bodies with nature’s help. It seems we are going to be free from antibiotics in this season. Eucalyptus and mint herbs have done a really good job. My child is almost healthy and my mood is uplifting. So it is time to start a new week with pleasure to happily think. Today I am walking with three philosophers and listening their talking.

You see them on the painting “The Three Philosophers” by Italian High Renaissance artist Giorgione.

The Wine is old man, the Cheese is in middle age and the Apricot is young boy. The three men are talking about perennial question of philosophy: What is Truth?

The old Wine philosopher is singing: I live so long and know this life, la,la,laaaa, the truth is in Soul. “Whatever satisfies the soul is truth.” (Walt Whitman)

The middle Cheese philosopher thinks: the truth is in Mind. “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” (Joseph Addison)

The young Apricot dreamingly whispers: the truth is in Heart. ““To a young heart everything is fun.” (Charles Dickens)

You see the Wine, the Cheese and the Apricot are right. My photo etude visualises their talking. I am not a photographer, sorry for quality, the photo is just for idea.

Soul, Mind and Heart are keeping Truth of life but together in Great Harmony of Universe.

Hello God!

Thank You for today. Today is a very nice day. I am reading a very good article by philosopher Brian Johnston I am happy to share some thoughts from it. The idea is a beautiful union of this 5 Cs helps us to archive satisfying and sustainable results in any endeavour. The girls are from “In the sunny south” by Vittorio Matteo Corcos.

1. A clear Conception of what we want, a vivid vision, a goal strongly imagined.

2. A strong Confidence that we can attain our goal.

3. A focused Concentration on what it takes to reach that goal.

4. A stubborn Consistency in pursuing our vision.

5. A Capacity to Enjoy the process along the way.

“Together these make up a universal tool kit for remarkable accomplishment. They constitute the most extraordinary leveraging device for our energies in any situation or challenge. They are remarkably reliable tools for helping us make the most of our lives and energies every day,” concludes the philosopher.

This union is powerful. Perhaps we should hire it. I will, so, I am hiring them now. The girls first working day is from this moment. They are working for us, so we can do “it”!
