Cinderella’s Diary

Hello God!

Thank You for Cinderella.

We all know her story but nothing about her marriage with Prince Charming. Today’s morning I have found the continuation of her story in the wonderful poem “Cinderella’s Diary” by Ron Koertge. With these Vogue illustration I am happy to share it.

Cinderella.jpg

“I miss my stepmother. What a thing to say,
but it’s true. The prince is so boring: four
hours to dress and then the cheering throngs.
Again. The page who holds the door is cute
enough to eat. Where is he once Mr. Charming
kisses my forehead goodnight?

Every morning I gaze out a casement window
at the hunters, dark men with blood on their
boots who joke and mount, their black trousers
straining, rough beards, calloused hands, selfish,
abrupt…

Step-mother.jpgOh, dear diary—I am lost in ever after:
those insufferable birds, someone in every
room with a lute, the queen calling me to look
at another painting of her son, this time
holding the transparent slipper I wish
I’d never seen”.

Cinderella is running to step-mother’s hands even faster than she was in hurry to Prince Charming. Cinderella’s story in this film is beautiful but you know we should be careful what we wish for.

Thank you for your smiling eyes and light breath, it is great pleasure to feel them for me. Have a beautiful day!

Wall of Wishes

Hello God!

Thank You for an enormous ways for making our wishes come true.

Yesterday I with my daughter were conductors of one from billions those ways. We were responsible for the Wall of Wishes in the park where New School Year celebration was hold.  Children were suggested to write on a paper palm their wishes and dreams for coming year.

Table.JPG

Children were active because of believing in the magic Wall we declared.

Close your eyes. Make a wish. Write it on a colourful palm and put in on the Wall. Kind and powerful wizards, enchanterscharmers from all possible and impossible worlds are gathered here for to come true your wishes and dreams .

Write your wish.JPG

I dream about little dog. I dream about little sister. I wish my grandfather is well. My team is the best and we will win the season. Our teachers are kind. My papers have excellent marks. All tests I will pass brilliantly. Prestigious University is waiting for me. I wish peace and everything the best for everyone.

the wall of wish.JPG

The rainbow cover of children’s wishes and dreams fulfilled The Wall of Wishes very fast. I invite you to join us. Close your eyes, make a wish and touch the Wall on the screen you see now. Who knows – there are enormous ways, perhaps this is the one.

And I am singing for you my favourite song “Dream Big” by Ryan Shupe:

“And when you dream, dream big,
As big as the ocean, blue.
Cause when you dream it might come true.
For when you dream, dream big.”

Thank you for your smiling eyes and your cordial dream you are thinking about now touching our Wall of Wishes.

Please, remember, every night before falling asleep, stare at the sky, and keep your dream alive!

Kupalinka Song

Hello God!

Thank You for Kupala today. We celebrate Kupala Night or Kupalle in Belorussian, one of the oldest folk holidays dedicated to the sun and water. Kupalinka, daughter of the god Kupala and the Earth opens the door to the magic time.

It is the only time of the year when Mother Nature reveals its secrets and the only time when trees speak and even move and when witches gather. White witches, of course.

Kupala.jpg

Kupalinka discovers some interesting facts about her father –  Jacob Grimm in his book Teutonic Mythology (1835) notes that the word kupala describes the bonfires slavonic folk lit at the summer solstice, and records that some people explained the word as the name Kupulo, a harvest god.

Although the word kupala (or kupalo) is usually explained as “bather” (from kupat(i) ‘to bathe’). According to Russian philologists Vyacheslav Ivanov and Vladimir Toporov, the name Kupala is derived from the same Indo-European root as the name of  Cupid, Roman god of love, which means “passion” or “desire”. Kupala is Slavonic Cupid!

Fern flower.jpg

There is an ancient Kupala belief that the eve of Ivan Kupala is the only time of the year when ferns bloom.

Thanks to the fern flowers, which blossom for only several moments at midnight, all the buried treasures could be seen, no matter how deep they were in the ground. Prosperity, luck, discernment and power would befall on whoever finds a fern flower.

paparac_kvetka.jpg

Please listen Kupalinka song and enjoy the video below where Kupala is celebrated!

Kupalinka, Kupalinka
It’s dark in the night
It’s dark in the night
Where is your daughter, Kupalinka?

My daughter is in the garden
She weeds the rose
She weeds the rose
And wounds her white hands.

She picks the flowers
She picks the flowers
And weaves garlands
She weaves garlands and sheds tears.

I wish you to find your blooming fern flower tonight, and your dearest wish will come true.

Thank you for sharing with me this very magical moment!

Onegin Day

Hello God!

Thank You for Alexander Pushkin! Today, the 6th of June, is his Birthday! To celebrate the day I invite you to open and read the book. The poem “Eugene Onegin” is in the book.

Eugenu Onegin.jpg

Russian painter Elena Samokish-Sudkovskaya illustrated the poem published in 19o8 in Saint Petersburg. It is my pleasure to share with you these wonderful pictures. Romantic mood and delicate character of the poetry embrace us. We are floating in the flows of this Masterpiece.

Onegin.jpg

I am catching the waves of “Eugene Onegin” translation by Charles H. Johnston via my own senses. I hope you will enjoy its, you can catch your own Pushkin here.

“How early on he (Onegin) learnt to trouble
the heart of the professional flirt!
When out to burst a rival’s bubble,
how well he knew the way to hurt —
what traps he’d set him, with what malice
he’d pop the poison in his chalice!”

Tatyana.jpg

So she was called Tatyana.

From early on she loved romances,
they were her only food… and so
she fell in love with all the fancies
of Richardson and of Rousseau. The visit.jpgTatyana now need wait no longer.
Her eyes were opened, and she said
“this is the one!” Ah, ever stronger,
in sultry sleep, in lonely bed,
all day, all night, his presence fills her,
by magic everything instils her
with thoughts of him in ceaseless round.

Tatiana's Letter.jpg

“I write to you – no more confession
is needed, nothing’s left to tell.
I know it’s now in your discretion
with scorn to make my world a hell.

Decreed in highest court for ever…
heaven’s will — for you I’m set apart;
and my whole life has been directed
and pledged to you, and firmly planned:
I know, Godsent one, I’m protected
until the grave by your strong hand:
you’d made appearance in my dreaming;
unseen, already you were dear,
my soul had heard your voice ring clear,
stirred at your gaze, so strange, so gleaming,
long, long ago… no, that could be
no dream. You’d scarce arrived, I reckoned
to know you, swooned, and in a second
all in a blaze, I said: it’s he!”Tatiana's husband.jpg

“Can you say,
prince, who in that dark-red béret,
just there, is talking to the Spanish
ambassador?” In some surprise
the prince looks at him, and replies:
“Wait, I’ll present you – but you banish
yourself too long from social life.”
“But tell me who she is.” “My wife.”

Eugene_Onegin.jpg

Onegin wrote “…I noticed once, at our chance meeting,
in you a tender pulse was beating,
yet dared not trust what I could see.
I gave no rein to sweet affection:
what held me was my predilection,
my tedious taste for feeling free.

No, every minute of my days,
to see you, faithfully to follow,
watch for your smile, and catch your gaze
with eyes of love, with greed to swallow
your words, and in my soul to explore
your matchlessness, to seek to capture
its image, then to swoon before
your feet, to pale and waste… what rapture!”

No answer comes. Another letter
he sends, a second, then a third.

Tatyana answered “I married. I beseech you, go;
I know your heart: it has a feeling
for honour, a straightforward pride.
I love you (what’s the use to hide
behind deceit or double-dealing?)
but I’ve become another’s wife —
and I’ll be true to him, for life.”

Thank you for joy reading “Eugene Onegin” with me. Onegin Day is wonderful.

Queen Fire Monkey

Hello God!

Thank You for today! The year 2016 on the Chinese calendar is a year of the Monkey, starting from today, February 8, and ending on January 27, 2017. Also known as Spring Festival, it marks the beginning of the year 4714 and is the longest and most important Asian celebration.

Today we celebrate the coronation of the Fire Monkey. She promises 2016 to be a time of adventure, discovery and luck! Donald Roller Wilson is the official painter in the palace of the Queen of 2016.

Happy Queen.jpg

The energy of our Queen Fire Monkey is an incendiary mix of the hard metal element, the monkey belongs to, and fire which represents the sun. “Fire is dominant in the five elements. When fire is atop monkeys they will be swinging around, they will be difficult to predict. A lot of things will be unexpected,” said Chow, Hong Kong-based soothsayer.

A lot of things will be surprising!

Walking Queen.jpg

The Monkey from The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes by Theodora Lau:

“I am the seasoned traveler
Of the Labyrinth.

The genius of alacrity,
Wizard of the impossible.

Queen in Vogue.jpg

My brilliance is yet unmatched
In its originality.

My heart’s filled with potent magic
That could cast a hundred spells.

I am put together
For mine own pleasure.”

Queen.jpg

I am the Fire Monkey.

I am the Queen of 2016!

I share the secret – I entertain!

He who laughs and runs all day

Lives in smiles whole year!

Beautiful 2016.jpg

My Crown made from three “C”

Cleverness, Curiosity, Creativity.

I present it to you.

2016 is the time to wear it with pride!

Ha-ha! It was a joke! I take away my crown…

Thank you for your smiles. I wish you to wear the crown of 2016 in Cleverness, Curiosity and Creativity!

Christmas Child

Hello God!

Thank You for Christmas! This very word brings joy to our hearts. Little kids make Christmas fun. We can invite our inner child for the holidays. We will dance  around Christmas tree and stay up late drinking hot chocolate and waiting for Santa.

I know, yes, my adult knows where the presents really came from. But my inner child believes. So do yours little you.

Tonight is special, First Christmas full moon in nearly 40 years starts tonight! “It just makes Santa’s job easier and Rudolf can stay home,” Chad Myers, meteorologist, says.

Christmas Moon

Our hearts, as winter tweeting birds, are beating in the astonishment. Santa is on his way! An angelic voice of our inner child is tender and crystal. Attentively we listen: “Thank You, Maria, for the Child!”:

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Christmas

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

love your child

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be?
Which inspire your heavenly songs?

Inner child

Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ, the Lord, the newborn King.

santa wish

See Him in a manger laid,
Jesus, Lord of heaven and earth;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
With us sing our Savior’s birth.

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

We are all Maria for our inner child. Mother loves her children. Christmas Miracle is in the newborn child you are tonight.

Merry Christmas!

The Shortest Day

Hello God!

Thank You for tonight. We are celebrating the longest night of the year when the Goddess once again becomes the Great Mother and gives birth to the new Sun King.

“The winter solstice celebrates the return of hope to our land as our planet experiences the first slow turn toward greater daylight”, I am reading in “The Circle of Life” by Joyce Rupp and Macrina Wiederkehr, “…winter darkness has a positive side. As we gather to celebrate the first turn from winter to spring, we are invited to recognize and honor the beauty in the often unwanted season of winter.”

Let’s embrace winter’s darkness tonight. I have gathered “dark” photos to emphasise how beautiful winter is, and how much we are happy to live in this magical moment!

Winter Solstice

So the shortest day came, and the year died,
And everywhere down the centuries of the snow-white world
Came people singing, dancing,
To drive the dark away.

Snow

They lighted candles in the winter trees;
They hung their homes with evergreen;
They burned beseeching fires all night long
To keep the year alive,

Snow Love
And when the new year’s sunshine blazed awake
They shouted, reveling.
Through all the frosty ages you can hear them
Echoing behind us – Listen!

bg-friends

All the long echoes sing the same delight,
This shortest day,
As promise wakens in the sleeping land:
They carol, fest, give thanks,
And dearly love their friends!

Snow Kiss

And hope for peace.
And so do we, here, now,
This year and every year.

Make a Wish!

Make a wish to live in Light, as light as a child’s breath,

As light as a snowflakes dance in your eyes…

Thank you for your winter smile.

Aurora Waltz

Hello God!

Thank You for December. Aurora is inviting us to dance the snow waltz in the Сalendar Ball. Photographer Mo Devlin is our reporter tonight. He shoots our breathing in the dance with Aurora.

Northern lights – blues and greens, the ocean of rainbows is in the sky. This is beautiful Aurora.

“The bright dancing lights of the aurora are actually collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere. The lights are seen above the magnetic poles of the northern and southern hemispheres. They are known as “Aurora borealis” in the north and “Aurora australis” in the south” I am reading in the National Geographic. Aurora keeps the Earth in her both hands and we are all in her hugging lights.

The draperies of innumerable spectral colours decorate the Ball we are waltzing with Aurora feeling her winter breath…

Lilia

“Dance with me”, says Aurora, “and I’ll teach you to live radiantly dancing in this very Moment. Yes, learn to live joyfully even the moment is winter and cold”.

We are in the snow waltz – breath, breath, breath.

Winter Sun

“Breath with me”, says Aurora, “and I’ll show you the Flower of Life. You are this Flower of Life, please, blossom, even in the ice”.

We are in the snow waltz – breath, breath, breath.

Violet Dream

“Move with me”, says Aurora, “and I’ll invite your soul to dance. Your soul is dancing in the wonder with an abundance of lights”.

We are in the snow waltz – breath, breath, breath.

Orchid love

“Follow me”, says Aurora, “and I’ll open you the Milky Way spilled across the night. There are always stars in the sky even you can not see its in your darkest night”.

We are in the snow waltz – breath, breath, breath.Iris

“Love me”, says Aurora, “and I’ll send the waves of love cascading down to heal all wounds of the world”.

We are in the snow waltz – breath, breath, breath.

Roses

“Believe me”, says Aurora, “and I’ll hug your whole essence with the beauty of My light!”

We are in the snow waltz – breath, breath, breath.

Thank You very much for waltzing with me. I am happy to breath with you in the unison.

Have a beautiful Monday! And remember to breath with Aurora in the snow waltz.

Thanksgiving Choir

Hello God!
Thank You for the music we are singing in our joyful choir! Today we celebrate Thanksgiving!

“Thank you for the music” by ABBA is for now!

I am so lucky, I am the girl with golden hair
I wanna sing the grateful song to everybody
What a joy, what a life, what a chance!

Music

I’m nothing special, in fact I’m a bit of a bore
If I tell a joke, you’ve probably heard it before
But I have a talent, a wonderful thing
Cause everyone listens when I start to sing
I’m so grateful and proud
All I want is to sing it out loud.

Choir

So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me.

I’ve been so lucky, I am the girl with golden hair
I wanna sing my grateful song to everybody
What a joy, what a life, what a chance!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Rhapsody in Blue

Hello God!

Thank You for George Gershwin. Sometimes life is difficult and to live, even to breath, is hard.

But we always have jazz. “Jazz is one of the best things you can find in your life, it can always be your friend” George said optimistically.

I am walking along the GUM show windows and the invisible jazz band are playing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue…

November Rhapsody

Blue beat of Gershwin’s heart makes

Our souls tapping out George’s rhythm.

Where had he got it?

From the sounds of the streets –

Melancholic legato of sadness in rain,

Bright lights of the city offbeat loneliness.

Ironic staccato of creaking taxi

And strenuous squeak of a tram dismantle

Black wall of the fear and hysteria.

Blue light of the Rhapsody is inside us.

Sunday Rhapsody

In rows of streets in trum-pa-paam,

We move together in tandem.

First La, then Fa, then Sol with Si syncope,

We are performing the Rhapsody.

Our souls are lighting by Blue sounds.

Our bodies are dancing in Blue ballet,

Our minds are singing with Blue dreams.

Please listen Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin.

George Gershwin explains the happiness rule: “Life is a lot like jazz. It’s best when you improvise”. Today and always we improvise with smiles and Blue light directly from the Sky.

Thank you for your uplifting mood. I am incredibly happy to have this possibility to light in Blue your day.
