King Sings

Hello God!

Thank You for the 29th of August. Today is Great, today is the Birthday of Michael Jackson!

He is special for me. I remember his first concert in Moscow in 1993. Who says that USSR is totalitarian if Michael Jackson is walking there?

Oh, more than that he is marching and conducting the orchestra of the Soviet Union Army in the uniform!

He is missing the press conference devoted to his visit and goes to Moscow’s orphanage with presents for children.

“I’m Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
I’m Asking Him To Change
His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change”

King is singing. He has a lot of faces. I do hope that my face is his too because I believe I can make a change. Kadir Nelson‘s painting can help find your own face.

We all are responsible for making a change. Happy Birthday, Michael!

You know writing this post was a very emotional. My eyes were fulfilled by tears when I watched the video and I was smiling to see my own eyes in the mirror.

Thank you for a change we are making together now.

  1. Oh – I didn’t know it was his birthday today! I love Michael Jackson!!! 😀 I got into his music when he brought out his Bad album – I just loved that album, and I still do! I was suffering from a lengthy illness at the time, spending a lot of days having to lie flat in a bed, his music had so much energy, it really did something for me in that time of suffering! I really believe it helped my body and mind to heal. He is greatly missed. And thank you Glorialana for letting me know it was his birthday today! 😀

    1. Dear Suzy, I am very happy to see your comment. I love Michael Jackson too! His songs are powerful and healing, I am touched by your story. I am grateful Michael for You and this possibility to write to you just “Thank you, thank you, Suzy, very much for your Light on my way!”

  2. He’s my age. I grew up loving the music he and his brothers made and Michael’s solo years. He is truly an icon in American culture and a very tragic figure as well. Thanks for the tribute on his birthday!
